It was a sunny day during the summer break, and the Poud family was driving towards the beach.
The promise of a beach adventure get the children going, they were over the moon because it was their first trip on the beach. Ma and Pa, instead were simply glad to be on a break. They worked a lot, maybe too much. The journey by car was the typical one you can imagine when you think at those movies, where everybody is happy, the atmosphere is joyfull, and the children sing corny songs.
When The Prouds arrived at the beach it was very hot, they were greeted by a blast of scroching heat. In the distance, the muggy weather distorted the view. Palms, rocks, everything swayed like wobbly silhouettes, the entire beach seemed to be a mirage.
Excited to be finally arrived at the beach, the children, who we'll now call Daughter and Son immediately threw off their shoes and clothes and raced towards the sea.
The water was crystal-clear and pleasantly cold, there were dozens of colorfull fish, each one more dazzling tha the last. The moment Daughter and Son stepped into the water all the fish darted among their feet, and the children started yelling with delight and running.
Ma and Pa, just a shot distance away, were creating their own pacefull heaven. They positioned the beach umbrella, they unfolded the chairs, and unfurled a large beach towel. It took them a while because, unlike the kids, Ma and Pa refused to cut corners. Their beach haven might not have been the quickest to set up, but it was sure to be the most comfortable on the whole beach.
So far, everything seemed to be perfect, but as always, life is not, and the initial excitement quickly wore off.
Now, you might be wondering, what on earth had happened?
Out of the blue, Daughter and Son burst into tears, they were totally frightened. As soon as Ma and Pa heard the children's crying, they gazed at them, but what they saw, left them speechless.
Daughter and Son's skins were colorfull, they resembled two little rainbows. At this sight, Ma and Pa immediately ran towards their children, trying to understand how their color had possibly changed. When Ma and Pa reached at the shore, they notice that everyone swimming or just bathing in the sea was like rainbows.
Ma entered the water to get the children out, but by the time she reached them her legs had already begun to change color. Seeing what had happened to his wife, Pa freaked out completely. Without much thought, he entered into the water. As you can image, by the time he reached his family, he too had changed color.
How this story ends?
The Proud family turn into the Rainbow Proud family.

- UNFURL: To unroll or unfold something that was previously rolled or folded up.
- TO CUT CORNERS: This means to take shortcuts that might save time or effort, but could also lead to problems with quality or safety.
- TO WEAR OFF: This means to lose its effectiveness or intensity gradually over time.
